Nels Akerlund
Nels Akerlund's photography career started more than 22 years ago as an intern photographing President Ronald Reagan at the White House. Since that time, he has photographed assignments in all fifty states and 20 countries for clients such as National Geographic Adventure, The New York Times, LA Times Magazine, and Alaska magazine. Nels graduated from the nation's top photography school, Rochester Institute of Technology, and has taught and given lectures for the past 10 years. Nels's passion and in-depth knowledge of digital photography make his workshops a fun and creative way to improve your skills.
Anna Brahmstedt Akerlund
Co-owner of Nels Akerlund Photography, Anna has degrees in Art, Geology and Environmental Biology, and attended college on an Art scholarship. Fluent in Spanish, she studied abroad, traveling extensively in countries across Central and South America. Now with over a decade of experience in photography and digital imaging, she brings these skills and her great appreciation and knowledge of other cultures to the workshop experience.
